Recently, the State Administration for Market Regulation (Standardization Administration of China) issued a national standard. The national standard GB/T 34695-2025 Terminology for Disposal of Waste Battery Chemicals, led and revised by Guangdong Brunp Recycling Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Brunp Recycling), has been officially released and is scheduled for formal implementation on February 1, 2026.

It marks the world’s first comprehensive and systematic standardization of terminology related to the waste battery chemical recycling system, covering core terms such as Directional Recycling Technology(DRT), Integrated Carbon-right Method(ICM), Integrated Entire Industrial Chain (IEIC), and Batch-Time-Batch Method (BTB). Based on the Directional Recycling Technology featuring integrated whole industrial chain layout, Brunp Recycling has formulated standardized terms for recycled materials and carbon footprint, guiding the high-quality development of the industry.

Adhering to the path of green, low-carbon and sustainable development, Brunp Recycling has achieved an overall recovery rate of 99.6% for nickel, cobalt and manganese, and a lithium recovery rate of 96.5% through its original Directional Recycling Technology(DRT).

In terms of future industrial layout, Brunp Recycling and CATL will jointly build a closed-loop industrial ecosystem integrating resource development, material manufacturing, battery production, and recycling & regeneration under the full-chain integration industrial model.

As early as 2009, Brunp Recycling first proposed the Directional Recycling Technology(DRT), which has gradually become a benchmark for the closed-loop business model in the recycling industry. In 2024, the world’s first national standard for "Directional Recycling" was approved for project initiation. With the release of this terminology standard, the concept of Directional Recycling has gained further widespread recognition across the industry.

Moving forward, Brunp Recycling will vigorously develop the full-chain integration industrial model of battery directional recycling. It will join hands with business partners to further strengthen its voice in international standard formulation, support the global promotion of Chinese standards, and contribute Brunp’s strengths to industrial transformation and upgrading as well as global carbon neutrality.
