Recently, the national standard, Technical Guidelines for Directional Recycling of Waste Lithium Battery Chemicals, led and developed by Brunp Recycling, has been officially released. As China’s first national standard for lithium battery recycling named after "Directional Recycling", it fills the standard gap in the application field of this technology in China.照片1.jpg

As the first national standard at the state level focusing on directional recycling, the guideline strengthens the leading technological value of integrated whole-chain management from waste batteries to recycled materials. It represents not only an upgrade of technical specifications, but also an innovation of the industrial ecosystem. The standard drives the large-scale, intelligent and low-carbon upgrading of the recycling and utilization industry, and helps build a green closed loop of battery production–consumption–recycling–regeneration.

As a global pioneer in battery directional recycling, Brunp Recycling has independently developed the proprietary DRT(Directional Recycling Technology), which delivers both environmental and economic value and redefines a new model for the full-life-cycle circulation of power batteries.

Since pioneering the concept of "Directional Recycling" in 2009, Brunp Recycling has always remained at the forefront of power battery recycling technology. In 2012, it successfully launched the first-generation DRT(Directional Recycling Technology), breaking the global bottleneck of "waste material regeneration" and realizing the reverse remanufacturing from waste materials back into battery raw materials.

From 2012 to 2022, Brunp carried out continuous technological iterations. Integrating a host of new technological achievements, it built a comprehensive research system covering theoretical methodology, process technology, engineering application, green low-carbon development and ESG sustainability. In 2024, Brunp fully opened up its directional recycling technology to the industry for free and advanced its inclusion in the national standard development agenda. Following two years of formulation, the official release of the standard signifies that China’s power battery recycling industry has entered a new stage of high-quality development featuring a closed-loop ecological model.

Moving forward, upholding scientific and technological innovation, green development and industrial supply chain security, Brunp Recycling will forge Chinese standards and lead global industry practices with the directional recycling model, further advancing the high-quality development of the circular economy.
