Delegation of Indonesia's Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs & Investment Paid a Visit to Brunp Recycling

On May 19, 2023, a delegation led by Ms. Jona Widhagdo Putri and Mr. Hernando, special advisors to the minister of Indonesia’s Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs Investment (Kementerian Koordinator Bidang Kemaritiman dan Investasi Republik Indonesia), paid a visit to Brunp Recycling (“Brunp”), and received warm welcomes from its president, Mr.Li Changdong.

During the visit, the delegation first went to the exhibition hall where they learned about company’s development, entrepreneurial story, global layout plan, as well as low-carbon and sustainable development strategy. After that, they were shown around the digital intelligent production workshop and global R&D and Innovation center, where they learned about the specific production process of lithium-ion battery cathode materials and technological innovations achieved by Brunp.

Both sides held discussions and exchanged views with each other on the EV battery industry chain symposium. Brunp’s R & D team introduced its spent battery recycling technology and the production process of lithium-ion battery cathode materials, highlighting its achievements in the green technology development and design. Ms. Jona Widhagdo Putri and Mr. Hernand spoke highly of the technology achievements of Brunp and expressed good wishes for its future development. They hope that both sides can further deepen their cooperation in battery industrial chain and jointly promote the development of Indonesia’s nickel industry.

Mr.Li expressed his thanks for the great support provided by Coordinating Ministry for Maritime & Investment Affairs, saying that Brunp will introduce its green technology and advanced equipment into Indonesia and deepen talent exchanges with it, in the hope to help it build an integrated battery supply chain spanning from the upstream nickel mining to downstream battery material production, and boost the development of its nickel industry.
