​Triple Honors！ Brunp Recycling Earns Accolades from MIIT and Provincial Authorities for Comprehensive Innovation

Recently, Brunp Recycling has achieved remarkable successes in technological innovation and smart manufacturing. Its Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory was rated Excellent, the highest rating in the official evaluation. The pilot platform for high-performance lithium battery materials was shortlisted for the key cultivation list released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). Furthermore, the smart factory dedicated to the recycling and regeneration of lithium battery cathode materials was accredited as a provincial advanced smart factory.

These three honors align exactly with three pivotal links: fundamental research, pilot-scale verification and industrial application. They signify that Brunp Recycling has established a complete closed-loop innovation chain ranging from original technological research to large-scale production.

Solid fundamental research lays a solid foundation for Brunp Recycling’s technologies in lithium battery recycling. In the 2025 assessment of Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratories, the laboratory stood out among 379 participating institutions across the province, ranking among merely 38 recipients of the Excellent rating. Focusing on recycling technologies for mainstream batteries such as ternary batteries and lithium iron phosphate batteries, the Guangdong Provincial Enterprise Key Laboratory for Battery Recycling has conquered core technologies including automated flexible disassembly of battery packs and short-distance, low-consumption recovery of key metals. The laboratory has previously won the First Prize of Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Progress, the Second Prize of National Science and Technology Progress and many other awards. This latest honor is another authoritative recognition of Brunp Recycling’s strength in fundamental research.

To bridge the "last mile" for the transformation of scientific research achievements, Brunp Recycling has broken through bottlenecks in commercialization via pilot-scale verification. Its Pilot Platform for Preparation and Targeted Recycling of High-performance Lithium Battery Materials was selected into the second batch of key cultivated pilot platforms by MIIT. Supported by a high-level R&D team of more than 400 members, the platform covers the entire industrial chain of lithium battery materials. It delivers all-round pilot services to tackle prevailing industry pain points, including stringent product performance standards and high pilot operation costs. Having been awarded the China Silver Patent Award and multiple provincial and ministerial awards for standard development, the platform aims to be upgraded into a national-level manufacturing pilot platform in the future, so as to further expand technological influence and drive industrial progress across the sector.

In the field of industrial application, Brunp Recycling has successfully translated laboratory outcomes into production lines, enabling seamless integration between the innovation chain and industrial chain. Its Smart Factory for Recycling and Regeneration of Lithium Battery Cathode Materials has been named a 2026 Guangdong Provincial Advanced Smart Factory. Built upon 5G and industrial internet infrastructure, the factory connects full-process data covering waste battery recycling to the remanufacturing of new materials, realizing precise circular utilization adhering to the concept of "where it comes from, where it returns". This replicable and scalable intelligent solution not only sets a benchmark for the industry, but also effectively safeguards the industrial chain security of China’s strategic critical metals, including nickel, cobalt and lithium.

From fundamental research conducted at the provincial key laboratory, to technological maturation at the MIIT-backed pilot platform, and large-scale industrial application in the smart factory, Brunp Recycling has fully embodied a complete innovation model of scientific discovery – technological verification – industrial implementation. The three prestigious honors are a high affirmation of the company’s capabilities.
