Yichang Brunp Contemporary 450,000 Tons/Year New-Generation Lithium Iron Phosphate Project Put into Operation

On December 29, the commissioning ceremony of the  Yichang Brunp Contemporary 450,000 tons/Year New-Generation Lithium Iron Phosphate Project was successfully held.

Huang Jianxiong, Secretary of the Yichang Municipal Party Committee; Chen Honghui, Deputy Secretary of the Yichang Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Yichang Municipal People’s Government; Zhang Lixin, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the Yichang Municipal People’s Congress Standing Committee and Secretary-General of the Municipal Party Committee; Li Xiaojun, Vice Mayor of Yichang Municipal People’s Government and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Yichang High-tech Zone; Wang Dazhen, Vice Chairman of the Yichang Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and Chairman of Yihua Group, attended the ceremony. They jointly launched the project commissioning together with Li Changdong, President of Brunp Recycling; Yang Yunguang and Yu Haijun, Vice Presidents of Brunp Recycling; Wang Hao, General Manager of Brunp Yichang Base, and other relevant leaders.

Project Commissioning Launched

In Yichang, Brunp Recycling has addressed the social concern over difficult recycling of lithium iron phosphate. It has realized the industrialization of recycled iron phosphate materials for the first time globally, delivering remarkable economic benefits.The 450,000-ton new-generation lithium iron phosphate project of  Yichang Brunp Contemporary is a strategic project of Brunp Recycling, featuring the world’s first fourth-generation lithium iron phosphate technology under its global layout.From project signing in January, construction commencement in February to official commissioning in December, the whole process took less than a year, setting a new construction record in the industry.

The project consists of 3 production workshops and 6 production lines, with an annual production capacity of 450,000 tons. It further extends Brunp Recycling’s industrial chain layout in Yichang, completes the full industrial chain of phosphorus ore–raw materials–precursors–cathode materials–battery recycling and utilization, and forms a closed-loop integrated whole industrial chain of lithium iron phosphate. It also strongly drives the coordinated development of upstream and downstream industries.

In addition, the project realizes comprehensive heat energy recovery and utilization, with a traceable carbon footprint throughout the whole production process.Meanwhile, the new-generation technology takes the lead in the industry in three core dimensions: single-line production capacity, automation level and localization rate. The single-line capacity is increased by 200%, per capita production efficiency raised by 50%, and the localization rate of core equipment reaches 100%, boosting the upgrading of China’s high-end equipment industry.

Moving forward, Brunp Recycling will accelerate the construction of a dual-drive ecological closed-loop featuring phosphorus resource utilization and battery recycling. It will give full play to its industrial advantages of full-scenario, full-life-cycle and full-chain-integration, strengthen in-depth integration of technological and industrial innovation, and contribute to the green, low-carbon and sustainable development of the new energy industry.
